The fullback says his daughter has had a huge influence on his life
Reece Walsh is a rising star in the NRL. At just 21 years old, he is already a father and the face of the Brisbane Broncos. But Walsh says his daughter Leila is his biggest inspiration.
"She's the best thing that's ever happened to me," Walsh said. "She's taught me so much about life and what's really important."
Walsh says Leila has helped him to stay grounded and focused on his goals. He says she is also the reason why he is so passionate about giving back to his community.
"I want to be a role model for her and show her that anything is possible if you work hard and never give up," Walsh said.
Walsh is not the only NRL player who has been inspired by his daughter. In fact, many players have said that fatherhood has changed their lives for the better.
"It's the best feeling in the world," said Roosters star James Tedesco. "It's made me a better person and a better player."
Cowboys captain Jason Taumalolo agrees. "Fatherhood has taught me a lot about responsibility and patience," Taumalolo said. "It's also made me appreciate the little things in life."
It's clear that fatherhood is having a positive impact on the lives of NRL players. These players are becoming better role models, better players, and better people.
